The political, economic and regulatory changes that are currently taking place throughout Latin America are closely tied to the performance of the energy sector.
The Second FIU International Arbitration Annual Summit will focus on the main advantages and obstacles encountered by public and private parties who choose international arbitration to process energy-related disputes. A number of experts, including practitioners, in-house counsel, academics and policy makers with vast experience in Latin America and the Caribbean will discuss the key issues that affect the development of energy arbitration in the region.
The main program will consist of a panel discussion led by experts in the field followed by a keynote speech by Mr. Thales de Miranda, Legal Manager for Corporate Finance at Petrobras, the state-owned oil conglomerate of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The event will conclude with a cocktail reception. Attendance is by invitation only.
